• Do you employ the Sitters?

No, the sitters are all self employed. Holiday Sitters arranges the sitter for a small booking fee. In return, we ensure that all sitters are appropriately qualified and hold a current CRB certificate.

• So can we book the sitter directly ?

We cannot prevent you discussing this with the sitter, though we are confident that or sitters would prefer us to manage their booking. This ensures both you and the sitter get the best service.

How many children will the sitter look after?

This will depend on the environment provided for the sitter and the ages of the children. In favourable circumstances, the sitter can look after a maximum of six children.

• Will the sitter stay overnight with the children ?

No, the sitters can provide for the welfare of the children for a pre-arranged period of time. Holiday Sitters will not take bookings for overnight care, though we are happy to put you in touch with agencies who might provide this service.

• What if we are late returning ?

Our sitters recognise that circumstances may occasionally occur which delay your return. You will be charged the agreed hourly rate where this occurs. We would ask that you contact the sitter and let them know at the earliest opportunity. Please bear in mind that the sitter may have other committments also.

• Will the sitter accompany children outside of a property?

No, the sitters are happy to provide for the welfare of the children whilst in the location for which they were booked. The sitter cannot be expected to take the children outside of this.

• Does this include the garden ?

Obviously, if the premises includes an enclosed, safe garden, the sitter will provide care for the children within this area.

• How will we know if there is a problem ?

The sitter must be provided with contact details for the parents, in their absence. The sitter will then use this information, in the unlikely event of needing to contact you .

• Do you only provide the service for families on holiday?

No, Holiday Sitters is happy to provide our service for all families, whether on holiday or living locally.
